DUTIES:
 
Duties for this job include maintaining confidentiality; computer and general office skills; making occasional phone calls; running errands on and off campus (need a current driver’s license to drive SWU vehicle); prepare mailings; write, edit and proofread notes, short publications, SWU News and SWU Digest; produce content for social media; use Jenzabar to update donor profiles; and preparing, setting up and tearing down for events.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Position involves direct communication with SWU senior administrators, donors, alumni, and community leaders. Ideal candidates for this job should possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate in a professional and friendly manner. Ideal candidates should also be detailed oriented, teachable, flexible, and willing to learn how to navigate computer software programs (i.e. Microsoft, Greenvelope, Jenzabar, avery.com, MobileCause). Ideal candidates must have a positive attitude, be willing to help without being asked, possess organizational skills, be able to prioritize and manage time efficiently, be available to work at various events outside of business hours if needed, and be dependable. Having a valid driver’s license is helpful (optional).
 
SCHEDULE:
 
The schedule for this job can be flexible. Regular office hours are 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with opportunities to join special event teams outside of business hours (i.e. fundraising events, luncheons, etc.). Alumni work-study must plan to be available on the Saturday of Homecoming weekend in October.
