DUTIES:
 
The Computer Support Assistant reports to the Technical Services Manager and has general responsibility for providing helpdesk support services to university students and employees.
Among the duties and responsibilities of the computer support assistant are the following:

·      Answer primary support line(s), including voice mail, and log work order requests.
·      Monitor departmental support e-mail box and log requests in work order system.
·      Key inventory data and maintain user data in work order system.
·      Provide level 1 support to employees and/or students regarding telephone and computer related issues.
·      Assist user services manager in preparing self-help documents and other documentation used to train help desk staff and support users.
·      Participate in telephone, hardware and software training sessions when offered.
·      Assist the User Services Manager in the maintenance of all web-based support documentation and services.
·      Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all employees and students.
·      Other duties as assigned by the Technical Services Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of CPSC 1103 and / or significant experience in software use, installation and hardware maintenance preferred but not required. Experience will be given priority in selection of support staff.

SCEDUELE:
To work around the student’s schedule within the hours of 8:00-4:30 M-F.
